Description
Our hens spend their days doing what hens are supposed to do: scratching through grass, dust bathing in the sun, chasing down bugs, and wandering wherever the yard takes them. That is the real difference between our eggs and the ones in a grocery store carton, and you can see it the first time you crack one into a pan and notice how orange the yolk is.
We gather every morning, so what ships out is never more than a day or two off the nest. Our flock is a working mix we have built up over the years rather than one uniform commercial breed, so shell color varies bird to bird. Do not be surprised if a carton shows some variety in brown, cream, and everything in between. That is normal, and honestly our favorite part of keeping a mixed flock.
Pick your size
Choose from a half dozen up to three dozen above, whatever your kitchen goes through in a week. Eggs ship in cushioned cartons within a day or two of gathering, or if you are local, skip shipping altogether and pick up fresh at the farm.
Good to know: Keep them refrigerated once they arrive and they will hold for weeks. Looking to hatch instead of cook? See our fertilized chicken eggs.
