Qurbani at Ferrand Farms
A healthy sheep or goat, raised on our pasture in upstate South Carolina.
Three hundred and twenty five dollars, and one hundred of it goes to the masjid.
Performed here on the farm
The sacrifice is carried out on our own land. You are welcome to be present and watch it done, or to leave it with us and collect the meat afterward.
One hundred dollars to the masjid
Every animal reserved through us sends one hundred dollars straight to the masjid. Not a percentage of profit, and not conditional on anything. One animal, one hundred dollars.
Raised where you can see it
These are our animals, on our pasture, fed and handled by the family that runs this farm. You are welcome to come and look at them before you decide.
What three hundred and twenty five dollars covers
One healthy animal, sheep or goat, of sound condition and proper age for sacrifice. The sacrifice itself, performed on the farm. Butchering and packaging of the meat for you to collect.
Eid al-Adha
Reserve early. Eid animals are spoken for well before the days of sacrifice, and we only take as many reservations as we have sound animals to fill.
Aqiqah
For a newborn, at whatever point suits your family. Tell us the child’s name when you reserve and we will note it against the animal.
Sadaqah and nadhr
A sacrifice given in charity, or one you have pledged. Available year round, and you can have the whole animal distributed rather than collecting any of it.
How it works
- Send the reservation below. Tell us sheep or goat, how many, and what the sacrifice is for.
- We reply to confirm we have a sound animal for you, and we agree a date together.
- Payment is arranged at that point, once your animal is confirmed. We do not take money for an animal we cannot supply.
- On the day, come and be present if you wish, or leave it with us.
- Collect your meat, or tell us to distribute it. One hundred dollars goes to the masjid either way.
Reserve an animal
Reserving costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We will write back to you ourselves.
