How to Grow Spinach
Planting
Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked, spinach wants cool weather and bolts fast once real heat arrives. Succession sow every couple weeks for a longer window.
Watering & feeding
Keep evenly moist, spinach has shallow roots and dries out fast in warm weather.
Harvest
Pick outer leaves as needed, or cut the whole rosette at once if you’re ready to use it. Once you see a center stalk shooting up, it’s bolting, harvest immediately, it turns bitter fast after that.
Grows Well With
