Best from a nursery start or a rooted cutting rather than seed, and strongly consider a container or a bottomless bucket sunk in the ground to keep the roots contained.

Keeps thirsty compared to most herbs, mint likes consistently moist soil and tolerates more shade than its Mediterranean cousins.
Harvest
Snip stems anytime, cutting back hard actually encourages bushier growth. Harvest before it flowers for the best flavor.
Grows Well With
